Winterizing is an option available to groups and guilds wishing to reserve a Quiltaway Weekend exclusively for their group. Groups have always had the ability to reserve an exclusive weekend, but Winterizing gives groups more flexibility in terms of available dates and a discounted price.
The Winterized Quiltaway includes everything included in the regular Quiltaway: two nights in the Bed and Breakfast; Friday night dinner; Saturday breakfast and lunch; Sunday Brunch and snacks. You also will get all clues and instruction to solve the Mystery Quilt. Please call for the price for the Winterize Quiltaway for 2008. (Click on the "Contact Us" button to the left.)
The Mystery Quilt for the Winter season will be the Fall 2007 Mystery. As a group, you also have the option of customizing your project by choosing any past Mystery Quilt pattern instead. You might also want to consider a UFO weekend.
We offer some mini-workshops that we can present at your weekend. These are especially nice if you have beginners in your group. You can choose any or all of the following, just let us know when you reserve the weekend so we can bring the necessary materials.

Reserving a Winterized Quiltaway
These winter weekends are subject to availability at the Inn, so book as early as possible. First select some dates that will work for your group. Give us a
call or email so we can book the weekend with the Inn. Once we have settled on a date, your contact person should send in registration forms and the deposits from the members. Next, select the Mystery Quilt or other project you want for your weekend. All the normal cancellation policies for groups reserving the entire Quiltaway apply. Also there is a Weather Clause for Winterizing. These policies are explained below.
Normal Cancellation Policy
The group size is minimum of 9 up to a maximum of 12. You will be responsible for payment for 9, whether that many attend or not. If someone drops out, you will need to fill her spot or prorate the cost among the remaining participants. You must choose one of your members to be the single point of contact for us. At the time of registration the contact person should collect registration forms and deposits from the members and send them in together. The minimum of 9 guests is required. We will not be able to hold the entire weekend for you until we have forms and deposits for 9. The members may send their balances directly to us with a due date 30 days prior to the Quiltaway Weekend. If there are any cancellations among the members, the contact person is responsible to find a replacement, make up the difference in cost or hold the canceling member to her commitment.
Weather Clause
The Quiltaway Weekend would be cancelled due to a major snow or ice storm. A major snow storm would be defined as 5 inches or more forecasted as late as the day before for 3 locations: the Lancaster Co. area, central New Jersey and/or the area where your group is originating. In this case, a full refund will be paid including all deposits. If your group makes the decision to cancel for any other Weather-related reason we will refund all monies paid less a $75.00 cancellation fee for the whole group. This fee can then be prorated among the members of your group. This is a fee that the Inn is charging us.
